MOLLY’S TROPICAL BOUTIQUE

It’s hard to think of shopping in downtown Christiansted without Molly’s Tropical Boutique instantly coming to mind. Owners, Molly and Ed Buckley, own a total of 5 business that have been staples on St. Croix since opening their first business in 1998. We are lucky to have 3 of their shops neighboring The Remedy in the Caravelle Arcade. Molly’s is also affiliated with the parent company St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures, also known as SCUBA. Molly just so happened to be Ed’s first dive student before it became SCUBA. Once they decided to set down their roots on St. Croix, they were determined to jointly own a dive shop and boutique.

A Growing Business

Molly’s Tropical Boutique didn’t start out as Molly’s but as a wonderful extension to SCUBA. The dive shop not only offered dive and snorkel gear, but also high end island wear for both men and women. They dubbed themselves ScuBoutique early on. As their business grew, they realized that people were hesitant to shop the luxury island wear inside a dive shop. Thus the name Molly’s Tropical Boutique was born in 2015 and business started to boom. By 2017, they were ready to expand out to Frederiksted. Jointly they opened SCUBA and Molly’s out west, quickly making a name for themselves being directly across the pier, enticing cruise ship-goers to shop and dive.

Molly’s became such a hit with visitors that in 2019 that they relocated to a larger shop right next door to SCUBA in Christiansted. They eventually grew so big they opened a Mancave inside the arcade just for menswear in 2022. All three extensions of the stores in Christiansted surround us at The Remedy. We are directly behind Molly’s Tropical Boutique’s back door, and one door down from the Mancave. SCUBA is just down the steps, next to the casino.

Molly’s Tropical Boutique features sophisticated and durable island wear featuring quality name brands. Brands like Olukai, Pelagic, Tommy Bahama, and O’Neill fill the racks with the latest trends. Beach days get a whole lot cooler with their huge selection of stylish swimwear and cover ups. They carry Corksicle and Silipint, so you can hang out at the beach with fun beverage holders. Not only does Molly’s carry swimwear, but so much more. Their athleisure wear by Nux is top of the line in comfort and fashion.
